In before Luci moves to China
Quote
(CNN) -- China's health ministry said a clinical investigation has found no evidence that milk powder made by a Chinese company caused three infant girls to grow breasts, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.
The health ministry launched an investigation in Hubei province after claims that milk powder led to premature sexual development in infant girls.
Ministry spokesman Deng Haihua said Sunday the hormone content of the powder was within normal limits, Xinhua reported.
According to Xinhua, Deng said food safety experts tested the residue of milk powder consumed by the three infant girls, as well 42 samples of Synutra products on the market and 31 samples of dairy products from other producers.
The deputy head of Wuhan Children's Hospital's endocrine department said three of the four children treated for the condition had never consumed baby formula made by Synutra, Xinhua reported.
A fourth baby had used Synutra formula but then switched brands, Xinhua cited the hospital official as saying.
Last Monday, Synutra Chairman and CEO Liang Zhang in a statement called media reports "highly irresponsible and based on speculation instead of evidence."
He said that the company was working with state authorities, including the Dairy Association of China and the Office of Food Safety, to test product samples.
"We do not add hormones to our products, and we have invested heavily in research, quality control, formulations and ingredients," the statement on the company's web site said.
Liang added that the company was "in the process of taking legal action to protect our brand."
New Zealand-based Fonterra, which supplies milk powder to Synutra, said last week it remained "100 percent confident about the quality of its products."
Fonterra noted that Synutra also sourced milk locally and imported whey powder from Europe.
Estrogen hormones are banned in milk powder products, Deng said.
The case is the latest to hit China's dairy industry. In 2008, a tainted milk powder scandal involving melamine left six babies dead and sickened 290,000 in China's Hebei province.
The company at the center of it -- Sanlu Group -- filed for bankruptcy. Fonterra owned a 43 percent stake in it. -
Door to door sales people

So this guy just came by my house trying to sell magazines and earn a scholarship or some bullshit, whatever seemed aight. I'm like nah and then he says you can also donate books to the local public library and i earn towards my scholarship so i'm like ok i could do that and i pick a book to donate and then he's like "can i come in to fill out the paperwork" so I said yeah and i tell him the book i wanted and he's like "you have to pick three" and i'm like man... so I found three on the list that was going to cost me about $100. Whatever that hurts and it's more then i wanted to do but fine. Then he's like yeah that'll be 280.00 and i'm like "nigga what?" And he's starts telling me that the neighbors have paid and he pulls out a check for 75 and one for 100 and tries to tell me it's some processing fee. And i'm like... Why are their checks for 75 and 100 and you're trying to tell me 280 fucking dollars to donate three books to a library? Then he's like well what about 180. Now i'm like "yeah not happening... what kind of scam is this?" And then he says he'll do one book for 40. And I threw his ass out.

Android/iPhone Apps!
18 June 2010 - 08:05 PM
We need moar topics. In here you name cool apps you find for android or iphone or whatever so that other people with those phone OS can check them out. Its probably a good idea to state what OS you have in case there's compatibility issues. I have Android 2.1.
Dolphin Browser - It's a web browser that does a decent job mimicking firefox until the mobile version of firefox finally comes out. Supports multiple tabs and pinch zoom.
Metal Detector - A cool app that uses the magnet in the receiver to detect metal objects and vibrates. Fun app to show off your phone.
Bump - A neat little app that allows you to share contact info and other content on your phone by bumping your phone into another phone with bump. It's a bit of a pain to set up but it's pretty cool.
Now you go! -
Modern Warfare 2
02 January 2010 - 05:07 PM
My brother bought me Modern Warfare 2 however it doesn't display right. All the text in the menus shows up messed up. I can get in to the game and it runs fine but none of the in game or out of game menus display right. I'm tempted to say it's a graphics card issue but i don't know... I've never seen this before

So Ozz don't know if you saw, but the new burzum album has been renamed and the real album cover is available.

Don't know if you ever check out www.burzum.org but that's where to get official shit from Vargs mouth. His history of Burzum and the early days of black metal are an interesting read.
