True, it is, and every coach I've heard of who's enforced this kind of policy has admitted it to the kids as soon as they tell them about the policy. It's just a matter of there really being no way to fight it, so they conform to it as to not be penalized.

That's the biggest difference I think. When I used to regularly wear a beard, I don't think I was ever carded except at places where it was mandatory to do so. Now that I have no facial hair bar a soul patch, I'm carded all the time. Not an issue, just something I've noticed.

same here. ish. i look older with a beard. although i rarely get carded, just when im with someone who looks young. but when i had a beard, people thought i was someone's dad

Haha, you might have it worse than me. My estimates are that the beard made me look about +10 years of my actual age. Without I actually look like I'm in my early 20's.....when sober anyway.
