My ever disappointing LTD has a new problem. The low E bass string is substantially louder than the other strings. At the moment I'm playing it through Boss Effects Unit (ME-6) straight into a PA. But I'm not sure the problem lies there.

Any ideas why one string would be louder than others?

why dont you just lower the pickup on that side? Or just the polepiece?

Thanks, that was one of the options I was looking at. I lowered it a little (both actually, humbuckers). Perhaps some more.
