Inspired by the what are you reading thread. Honestly, I haven't read a book in ages. I used devour books. I would read everything from Steven King to TV Week to Worldbook Encyclopedia (remember paper?). Truly, I'd randomly pick one up and start reading. Letter 'T', cool off we go. I think I read myself out.
Anyway. Raymond E. Feist.
I started reading Magician back in the day. And after maybe 50 pages just put it down and never picked it up again, nor any of his other work. It was so insipid. Not liking Magician made me very popular as you could imagine. I also disliked Lord of the Rings. I read it, but even as a young person I felt it had some strange subversive baggage behind it. Which later on I found out it did.

Books or Authors that just don't do it for you.

I rarely not finish books, but, as I said before, Tropic of Capricorn was too much for me. I wanted to like it but I just found it so fucking boring and meaningless.
I also didn't finish Paul Auster's American Trilogy (I think that's the name) didn't even got past the first story. Not that it was boring, I just didn't get into it.

Chuck Palahniuk. I really liked Lullaby but after that I started reading Invisible Monsters and I just couldn't get into it. Couldn't finish it.
