Post random easter eggs you find in movies or on the internets or wherever here.

I got a bunch of Google ones I'll share occasionally, I'll do a YouTube one for now...

Open up any video that has the newer player, once it starts immediately click inside the video screen and hold the left arrow key on your keyboard. If you time it just right you'll be playing the Snake game in the video window. Depending on which version of the new YouTube player you get (can't tell visibly) you may have to time a 4 second left arrow key press just right before this will work.

Finger in Butt Crack Sparks Knife Fight

Quote

DALLAS - A Dallas woman touched her friend's buttocks, sparking an assault and attempted stabbing, police said.

The alleged incident happened at an apartment in the 1700 block of Trade Winds Drive in the southern section of the city.

According to a police report, 22-year-old Laquita Mattox rubbed a finger along the victim's butt crack, prompting her to clench her buttocks. The victim claimed the clenching caused the bed she was sitting on to break, angering Mattox.

A fight ensued in which Mattox repeatedly hit the victim before grabbing a butcher knife and threatening to kill her. According to the report, she said, "Are you ready to die?"

The alleged victim called police and the suspect fled, the report stated.

Officers found no visible injuries on the woman, who refused medical attention.

It was not immediately clear if police arrested the Mattox.

Building a computer for music

So I've been waiting to build a desktop for a while. In fact, I wanted to wait until after I graduated and settled in to wherever I end up working.

I'm looking to build one of them super desktops. Still not sure how much I want to drop on this thing, but I may be thinking about $2000 for everything.

Like the thread title says, I want this desktop to be optimized for recording/editing music. I don't give a shit about gaming. Although, I might want to consider video editing, but it's still a secondary objective.

I'm sure several of you have built computers to do the exact same thing I'm looking for and was wondering if I could get some advice on what components I may need, what criteria the components have to satisfy, and maybe where I can buy them. Or maybe there's some online tutorial/blog to explain all of this.

I really don't like Mac's, but it's possible I could build a Hackintosh too. Is it really that much better to do audio recording/editing on a Mac OS as opposed to Windows?

Tim Minchin

I just saw Tim Minchin on tv and thought i'd spread the love as I have no idea how famous he is outside Australia and the UK..?

Well, If you've never heard or seen him, he's a comedian/virtuoso pianist but also has an amazing ability for song-writing

I relate almost completely with this song (probably an embarrassing amount):

And he's pretty much a poet: here's an unbelievable beat poem, the way he dynamically accompanies himself on the piano is incredible:

But also, like I say, just a really good song-writer. I think any 'serious' musician (not suggesting he isn't) would be proud of this song:

Sorry, If you all already know of him, or if you do, what you think? I think he's just a genius.

Door to door sales people

So this guy just came by my house trying to sell magazines and earn a scholarship or some bullshit, whatever seemed aight. I'm like nah and then he says you can also donate books to the local public library and i earn towards my scholarship so i'm like ok i could do that and i pick a book to donate and then he's like "can i come in to fill out the paperwork" so I said yeah and i tell him the book i wanted and he's like "you have to pick three" and i'm like man... so I found three on the list that was going to cost me about $100. Whatever that hurts and it's more then i wanted to do but fine. Then he's like yeah that'll be 280.00 and i'm like "nigga what?" And he's starts telling me that the neighbors have paid and he pulls out a check for 75 and one for 100 and tries to tell me it's some processing fee. And i'm like... Why are their checks for 75 and 100 and you're trying to tell me 280 fucking dollars to donate three books to a library? Then he's like well what about 180. Now i'm like "yeah not happening... what kind of scam is this?" And then he says he'll do one book for 40. And I threw his ass out.

The end

Can't believe we didn't have this already.

My music collection is growing stale on me. I need some new blood infused. Notably in the metal department. My lack of pretty much any Testament is one area of concern. Also I know I like a lot of Anthrax here and there, but I've never really checked out any of their albums in their entirety other than "We've Come For You All". Are any worth picking up or would a greatest hits type thing be a better move?
